About Beth Biggee, MD
Integrative Lifestyle Physician and Holistic Rheumatologist
Beth Biggee, MD has been dedicated to providing exceptional care in the field of Rheumatology since 2004 but in 2021 she also embraced Integrative, Lifestyle, and Ayurvedic Medicine. She now provides Holistic Health and Wellness Consults at Synergy Wellness Center in Hudson, MA and virtual Integrative Rheumatology Consults through a multi-teamed lifestyle approach with Rheumssion for residents of CA and PA.
She earned her medical degree from Upstate University Medical School in Syracuse, NY, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Biggee specialized in Rheumatology through a fellowship at Tufts in Boston. Demonstrating her commitment to a holistic approach to medicine, she also completed an additional fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Biggee's professional achievements are underscored by her triple board certification in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialties, and in Lifestyle Medicine from the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. This exceptional combination of board certifications sets her apart in the wellness healthcare space.
In addition to her board certifications, Dr. Biggee has pursued numerous certifications of study; including +HeartMath, a powerful neurofeedback technique for stress management, Usui Holy Fire Reiki, Comprehensive Auricular Acupuncture Certificate from the Helms Medical Institute, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program at the University of Massachusetts. Furthermore, Dr. Biggee has actively participated in Ayurveda training at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, and is currently enrolled in the Foundations in Herbal Medicine Course at the Medical Lodge Academy.
Primary Focus- Whole You
Dr. Biggee's primary focus is to partner with those who wish to optimize their health through a lifestyle and integrative approach. With a foundation in traditional Rheumatology, she has special interests in autoimmune, inflammatory, gut health, and musculoskeletal issues. However, she recognizes the interconnectedness of the whole person and adopts a human-centered lifestyle medicine approach rather than focusing solely on diseases.
By adopting a proactive and preventive approach, Dr. Biggee recognizes the potential for early intervention to mitigate disease. Rather than solely focusing on a list of specific conditions, she acknowledges the importance of personalized care and tailoring plans in lifestyle and wellness to the unique needs of each person. This approach allows her to address individual risk factors, family history, and overall well-being, ensuring comprehensive care that goes beyond disease management alone. This inclusive approach encourages individuals with varying backgrounds and goals to seek her expertise and guidance in their pursuit of lifelong health and vitality.
