About Dr. Beth Biggee

Dr. Beth Biggee’s Story or “Narrative”

“At age 5, I remember looking up at my Grandmother’s hands, deviating outward at the knuckles, fingers hanging in the air, unable to lift them up.  She suffered rheumatoid arthritis at a time when modern medicines were not available.  So, my interest in Rheumatology began over 45 years ago.

It was not until my own illness with breast cancer that awakened a desire to learn more about complimentary holistic medicine.  Six years ago after learning how to take an integrative approach to my own health crisis, I decided to enroll in Andrew Weil’s Integrative Medicine Fellowship and became an accredited Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine Physician.

But it was most recently an experience caring for my mother with Alzheimer’s disease that finally and fully inspired me to develop this current practice. Lifestyle and Integrative Rheumatology integrates the least invasive traditional Western medicine with complementary, holistic, and lifestyle approaches to health.

I hope this practice provides a refuge for those who crave a human centered approach to care.  I aim to serve those not only with inflammatory or autoimmune conditions, but those who would like to further optimize mind, body, and spirit health.

My mission is to  provide rooted, holistic, comprehensive, compassionate and human-centered care.”
